First and foremost, in my personal name and in the of all the youth, I would like to thank for this opportunity to talk and discuss in this forum about our perspectives of communism and anti-imperialism. In this peculiar time in world history, it’s important to redefine the terms on which communism stands, the values and principles that guide all the communists.
It’s important to understand that for the communists, the social organization is based on sharing among all that community, and the goods within one society should be enough for everyone inserted in. According Cambridge university Dictionary communism is “the belief in a society without different social classes, in which the methods of production are owned and controlled by all its members, and everyone works as much as they can and receives what they need”.
On the other hand, it’s important to define very well what’s anti-imperialism, what stands for and why everyone needs to be very well informed. Anti-imperialism and anti-imperialists are not against a specific country, are not against free circulation of goods within the countries but are opposed to colonialism, colonial empires, hegemony, imperialism and the territorial expansion of a country beyond its established borders.
Secondly, it’s important to state that the people are the centre of our world, our states, our parties, and our ideology’s, so before any decision making its important to think of the impact that is going to have on the people. It’s important to respect the sovereignty of the countries, the borders, the history, and hegemony of them. In the modern World and modern days, its unthinkable a decision making that’s non peace based, only because of imperialists interests, and because of the greed of certain leaders.
As young politician and activist, I wouldn’t like to inherit a world of wars, I wouldn’t like to not take the opportunity to raise my voice to and for the people. The world needs hope, needs bridges, needs policies that allows the progress of the nations without any interference of external countries. The world needs cooperation and leaderships that are ready to extend solidarity and not guns, knowledge and not exploitation, leaders that are ready to unite and not divide the world their interest.
Last but not least I would like to thank once again the opportunity share this stage of brilliant minds and great leaders, that have the vision to make the world a better place to live. For us every chance to be heard represents a little bit more of hope on the right fight against anti-imperialism and on the direction of freedom. Thank you.
