Home Meetings 8th Conference in Amsterdam June 2025 “A new World War may already be upon us.”

“A new World War may already be upon us.”

Mazdoor Kissan Party of Pakistan offers greetings to the World Anti-Imperialist Platform and all participants. We applaud your work of opposing imperialism in joint coordination with all like-minded parties of the world in such oppressive times. You can count on our support for your mission.

It may seem to us that World War 1 and 2 are entirely remote since they occurred decades before all of us were even born. Those wars appear to us as a mythical time in history. We similarly envisage World War 3 as a tangible period in the future resembling Armageddon when nukes could fly and obliterate humanity from the face of the earth. Although it doesn’t feel like that now, we are perhaps already living in a phase of World War 3. Humanity therefore has sleep-walked into this new phase; without us actually perceiving it, a new World War may already be upon us. The examples are right in front of us.

The war in Europe that NATO instigated by proxy through Ukraine against Russia has been going on for years and from the looks of it, may go on for a few more still.

It is also the worst kept secret that the US is preparing for a war with China in the next few years. There will be unthinkable destruction and death if that happens. The recently increased pace of economic decoupling is to reduce the dependencies and exposure in the case of such a war. Coinciding with this, in the US oppression and surveillance of their citizens has reached extreme levels. By suppressing anti-war movements, they seek to prepare their society for war.

India and Pakistan recently skirmished against each other, two nuclear-armed states. Although the conflict did not last long, the dangers are extreme given the nuclear arsenal of both, and there is great risk of resumed conflict between the two given the repeat provocations that occur through proxy militants and water blockading.

North and South Korea are still technically at war and provocations similarly occur that can in a mere moment turn both towards full hostilities.

But it is for the present Middle-East conflict, for which we reserve our strongest condemnation. Here we see the most cynical and shameless belligerency of imperialism.

The Israeli attack on Iran, which has been supported to the hilt by the US, is a lesson. That is, never trust a word from imperialist mouthpieces. It is not just the lies they spoke giving the pretext for their unilateral attack about Iran preparing a nuclear bomb to drop on them, but also all the lies that were spoken up until that time through the agreements that they themselves broke (case in point, the Nuclear Deal under the Obama Administration). This is a repeated pattern that was also seen in the broken promises to Russia and other countries.

The US and Israel have pursued a systematic, divide and conquer strategy to take apart the anti-colonial / anti-imperialist forces in the Middle East, including Iraq, Libya, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen and now Iran. Their hubris has perhaps left them dizzy with their perceived success, as the Nazis felt during their blitzkriegs. But the brute landgrab colonial expansion that Israel is attempting with its American supplied hardware and intelligence will have consequences, if not immediately, then in years to come.

The sanctimonious European countries that present themselves as human rights champions when it comes to lecturing underdeveloped countries, have revealed their depravity in full. The German Chancellor Friedrich Merz recently declared in admiration that Israel was doing their dirty work by attacking Iran. Such “enlightened heads of state of Europe” have similarly supported the mass murder and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in Gaza.

A tide against such imperialists is coming from Asia and will sweep them away. Resistance against Imperialism is vital.

Long live the Revolution!
