Dear friends!
Comrades!
I am here to express to all of you the revolutionary greetings of the Hungarian Workers’ Party.
Hungary is far away from Latin America but our future is common. We are fighting against imperialism and do our best to create a new world based not on the power of money but on the interests of people.
It is a great honour to be here, in the capital of Venezuela. The Hungarian Workers’ Party has supported the Bolivarian revolution from the very first moment. You can rely upon us in your fight against US imperialism, in your struggle for freedom and independence in the future, too.
Dear friends,
The Antiimperialist Platform is a new phenomenon in international life. We have organised conferences and mass demonstrations in Paris and Belgrade.
We have demonstrated that anti-imperialist struggle needs both solid theoretical basis and effective ability to organise mass actions.
But the most import thing we have done is the platform itself which offers new forms of cooperation for all those who condemn imperialism and want to change the world.
We gathered here from all over the world. We are different, Asians, Europeans, Americans, communists, socialists, religious, and not religious people, parliamentary and non-parliamentary parties.
The main connection between us, besides our will to help people, is that we are all fighting against imperialism. Imperialism is the main reason of the wars around the world. Imperialism is robbery, theft, abuse. Against that we are all fighting! That is hard, but the fact, that we are standing here proves, that we have made one new step forward to defeat imperialism.
Dear friends,
There are a lot of problems in the world. But now the threat of a new world war, the danger of a nuclear war is the greatest problem, the greatest challenge.
The war in Ukraine is not a war between Russia and Ukraine. It is war of the US, the NATO, and the EU against Russia. It is a war against the Peoples’ Republic of China. It is a war of the liberal forces of imperialism in order to establish a new world order based on American supremacy.
The imperialist forces do not want to finish the war. They send more and more weapons to Ukraine. They want to force Belarus to enter the war. They want to create the circumstances for a war with the full participation of NATO-members. Every day we come nearer to world war, and even to a global nuclear war.
They are working on escalating the situation, we see the efforts, they are taking to expand it to Asia with Taiwan and Korea, they are trying to expand their influence in South America.
If we want to survive, the war must be ended. There is only one realistic solution: peace with Russia. The peace with Russia would save the life of millions of people. It would open the way to the normalisation of world economy. The peace with Russia would contribute to establishing a new system of international relations.
We believe that today we must protest against the war of the imperialist countries against Russia and demand that the world powers conclude peace as soon as possible.
Dear friends,
We should put a question very sincerely: how can the actual situation in the world influence our fight against imperialism?
We see the crisis in the policy of the ruling classes of capitalist countries. We see that the existing imperialist integrations can collapse. We witness the total moral crisis of capitalist societies.
We see that the working classes in many countries express their discontent and indignation towards the existing capitalist order. We see the demonstrations, the strikes, and other forms of class struggle.
But on the other hand we also see that the ruling classes have not collapse yet. They can still maintain their rule. The working classes have not declare yet in global measures that they do not want to live in the old way.
I am coming from Europe. I can tell you, frankly. In Europe there is no revolutionary situation yet.
But things can change very quickly. It is clear that a European war would be more severe than any war in the past. The political foundations of Europe would be shaken more and more. War and the social consequences of war can lead to a considerable increase in the activity of the masses.
There is an important question: where, in which countries can the rapid change of circumstances lead to revolution? This is something we do not know, and nobody can know.
But we see the specific situation of Central and Eastern Europe. The people of this region are coming from socialism. In Western Europe there has never been socialism.
The people of this region are poorer, have less resources to survive than the masses of Western Europe. A war can destroy the cities and villages of Central and Eastern Europe before destroying any places in the West.
The possibility of a social earthquake in Central and Eastern Europe is much greater than in other parts of Europe. If there will be general collapse in this region, people can remember socialism and demand to throw capitalist rule and move to socialism.
We prepare our party for future battles. We strengthen the conviction of our comrades that capitalism can be defeated and destroyed. We teach them to speak with the people, to understand their concerns and problems. We teach them to organise and lead the working masses.
Your fight against imperialism encourages us. We appreciate the enormous efforts of the Peoples’ Republic of China, constructing socialism with Chinese characteristics.
We are happy to see every new success of socialism in Cuba.
We follow with sincere sympathy your fight in Venezuela, Nicaragua, generally in Latin America.
Our main task is not to let the agony of the capitalist system to lead us to a war on a global scale..
Our tactics must remain relevant, they must be appropriate to the times in which we live, but our strategy must be the creation of a new society, socialism.
We remember the words of comandante Chávez: “O tomamos el camino del socialismo o se acaba el mundo.” In English: “Either we take the path of socialism or the world ends.”

¡Queridos amigos!
Camaradas.
Somos diferentes, asiáticos, europeos, americanos, comunistas, socialistas, religiosos y no religiosos, partidos parlamentarios y no parlamentarios.
