Dear comrades,
As imperialist contradictions begin to rise so do the responsibilities of the international anti-imperialist movements. The fight for peace and socialism, the fight of the working class against its oppressors, enters a new stage.
The escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, among other crises, brings the world closer to an open global scale conflict in dimensions of a Third World War. Even though this fact is nowadays acknowledged nearly by all political agents, us anti-imperialists have been warning the world about the dangers that US imperialist involvement in countries such as Ukraine mean in the long run. The 2014 Euromaidan fascist coup, financed by the West, following the civil war that is still ongoing, has marked a new era in the process of NATO meddling in Eastern Europe with hopes of finally subjugating all of the former Eastern block with defeating Russia being the end objective. Ukrainian people who have fallen for the trap of “eurointegrations” have became nothing but human cannonballs for the imperialist NATO empire.
Task of anti-imperialists in countries that are either directly part of NATO or are aligned with it is not to let the Ukrainian scenario happen to our peoples, first and foremost we must fight against sending “military aid” to Kiev and other kinds of participation on the side of imperialists (for example, our small country of Montenegro has sent more than 10 million dollars of military equipment to Ukraine, which is a significant number taking in account our country’s overall budget) .
We must push for immediate withdraw of our countries from the imperialist NATO alliance and for a stop on all sanctions against Russia. We must stand in defence of anti-fascists in Ukraine who are currently being persecuted as well as people of Donbass and other regions who must be allowed self-determination, which can’t be realised until the Kiev regime is defeated.
As honest anti-imperialists we must not forget crimes of Western imperialism that are happening on other sides of the world too. We must stand in solidarity with and all of those in Latin America who are suffering either because of US sanctions against their countries such as is the case with brave people of Cuba and Venezuela or those whose countries have decided to side with Western imperialists against their own people, in this moment especially we must not turn a blind eye to what’s happening in Peru while analyzing it critically.
We as well must stand in solidarity with peoples of Africa, especially those in Burkina Faso and Mali who are raging an active fight against French imperialism at the moment. We must stand in solidarity with China, Korea and all the Asian peoples who are constantly being victims of Western aggression.
Us, peoples of former Yugoslavia well know what imperialism is and what it can lead to. Among most of other ex Yugoslav republics, our country of Montenegro has fallen deeply into the trap of “Euro-atlantic integrations” , putting sanctions on Russia, recognising the so called “Republic of Kosovo” , joining NATO and aiding it in its imperialist conquests especially in Afghanistan. Even though the government has fallen into this imperialist trap, the people are aware that it’s a trap built on fake promises that lead to nowhere but to conflict and exploitation. The consciousness of the people on this fundamental cause must be used and expanded by us anti-imperialists not only in Montenegro and Balkans but in all countries where such an opportunity arises.
Comrades, as imperialist contradictions are rising we must grab the opportunity and unite all the progressive forces into a final fight against the evils of imperialism, capitalist exploitation and war.
