Having carefully studied the experience of Venezuelan leaders Hugo Chávez and Nicolás Maduro, the United Socialist Party considers the creation of a united front, a commune involving all progressive forces in the country, parties, workers, peasants, intellectuals, and other movements, to be the right direction for building a just, truly socialist society in Venezuela! It is no coincidence that the US and its minions have been waging an uncompromising struggle since the election of the first independent, democratically elected president and people’s government to physically destroy the leaders of the truly people’s government, supported by the masses. The fact that their movement is correct is confirmed, among other things, by the development of the revolutionary movement in Russia and the USSR. The Russian Social Democratic Labour Party, created and led by the great Lenin to carry out the socialist revolution, also set out to create communes called Soviets of Workers’, Peasants’ and Soldiers’ Deputies! It was these communes, the Soviets, that carried out the socialist revolution. In the first days after the revolution, it was they, the Soviets, that were created throughout the vast country, covering one-sixth of the planet Earth. The Soviets became the form of government in the USSR, China, and North Korea.
In any state, there is a dictatorship of power. In socialist countries, power must begin with the leading role of the working class and peasantry party, and then the creation of Soviets and communes for complete popular rule is mandatory.
The classics of Marxism wrote that capitalism breeds its own gravedigger—the working class! It is capitalism that provides industrial enterprises where thousands or even tens of thousands of workers can work at one enterprise! Of all the working masses, the WORKING CLASS is the most ORGANIZED CLASS! They arrive at work at a specific time and leave at the end of the working day at a specific time! This fosters work discipline! The working class is the most numerous class! Especially in large industrial enterprises, there are thousands of workers who already represent a powerful physical and spiritual force! Therefore, when traitors destroyed the Soviet Union, they first and foremost shut down large industrial enterprises by any means necessary! If the working class had risen up, it would have been impossible to destroy Soviet power like that! Thirdly, the working class is the most literate class! In order to work with the equipment and technologies of industrial enterprises, they had to be specially trained! In capitalist society, the bourgeoisie was forced to train workers to operate machines, equipment, and automated systems! We all remember very well that in the Soviet Union, highly skilled workers’ salaries were even higher than those of engineers! That is why certified engineers worked with technology in plants and factories! It was the working class that could become the gravedigger of capitalism, capable of overthrowing the power of the bourgeoisie precisely because of its ORGANIZATION, MASSES, and EDUCATION, more so than other exploited classes! But to seize power, of course, a broader social base was needed! Hence, an alliance with the working peasantry was necessary!
The Bolsheviks did just that. As a result of the SOCIALIST REVOLUTION, the DICTATORSHIP OF POWER began to be exercised by the SOVIETS, represented by the UNION of the working class and the working peasantry, but with the proletariat playing a vanguard role!
That is why the flag of the Soviet Union bears the hammer and sickle!
The power of the DICTATORSHIP OF THE PROLETARIAT – the Soviets – achieved tremendous successes in the country of the Soviets in a short period of history! A multinational state, the SOVIET UNION, was created!
A distinctive feature of the Soviets in the Soviet Union was that these Soviets were controlled and directed by the Communist Party, which was the vanguard of the working class and all the working masses! It also relied on other public organizations that could also be part of the Soviets: the working intelligentsia, trade unions, Komsomol, women’s, veterans’ and other organizations! The Communist Party developed the strategy and tactics of the Soviets. The executive bodies of the Soviets and the government implemented all the tasks set by the party! The Council of Ministers of the USSR and the union republics, the State Planning Committee of the USSR and the union republics specified the strategy and tactics of the CPSU in detail, for example, what to build, where to build, what to produce, and where to produce. To implement the tasks set, the Supreme Soviet of the USSR and the union republics passed laws that were communicated to all government structures! All decisions of the CPSU Central Committee and the Supreme Soviet of the USSR were communicated not only to local authorities, but also to every labor collective! For this purpose, there were structures of the Central Committee of the CPSU and the Communist parties of the union republics. The entire government, deputies, and ministers were involved in this work and had to be constantly present at their enterprises to communicate the party’s decisions to the masses and labor collectives! Councils at all levels implemented all party decisions. There were executive bodies of councils at all levels: in the village, district, city, region, the judicial system at all levels, the Academy of Sciences, research institutes, professors and teachers of universities and other educational institutions – it was a whole army of professionals who mastered the strategy and tactics of the CPSU, who developed theory and practice and brought all party decisions to the lowest structures of labor collectives, so that all decisions taken by the dictatorship of the proletariat – the Soviet government – were implemented in practice. The Soviets were a mature, conscious state, armed with theory and practice! It had an ideology, it had plans, strategy, tactics, and the people knew what they were striving for, what they had to do!
The dictatorship of the proletariat has ties to the masses through the councils of the lower levels, through primary party organizations, trade unions, women’s and Komsomol organizations in labor collectives, and their structures up the hierarchical ladder!
The Soviet government provided its citizens with free education, healthcare, and state, cooperative, and private housing at affordable prices for building materials and interest-free loans! Schools, universities, and other educational institutions provided students with textbooks! The Soviets ensured a decent childhood and a decent old age, no unemployment, and a stable life with the knowledge of future prospects!
The economy developed successfully. The state of the dictatorship of the proletariat – the Soviets took into account the average wage so that the citizens of the Soviet Union had enough to live on! The Soviet Union lasted only 74 years, including a civil war, interventionists, the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, and post-war reconstruction. The creation of atomic weapons forced the imperialists to abandon their war against socialism. The launch of the first satellite and man into space. Even during this short historical period, taking into account the fact that obvious traitors were allowed to come to power, the Soviet government proved its enormous advantages over the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie! The industrialization of all 15 republics, electrification, the achievement of universal literacy in all regions of all 15 republics of the Soviet Union even before the war, and the cultural revolution! After the Great Patriotic War, many peoples in other countries also built socialism. There is interesting data on what SHARE socialist countries accounted for in world industrial production according to their degree of development. As soon as socialism emerged in 1917
1917 – less than 3% share of world industry
1937 – less than 10% share of world industry
1950 – approximately 20%
1960 – about 36%
1970 – about 38%
1980 – more than 40% of world industry was accounted for by socialist countries.
By 1986, the USSR was producing more industrial output than the entire world produced in 1950! And another example: 34 years after the collapse of the socialist system, no republic or country except Belarus has reached its 1990 level of development.
The Soviet Union developed in all areas!
Scientists have concluded that socialism in the Soviet Union reached the level of developed socialism, as the state of the dictatorship of the proletariat grew to the level of a people’s state, because there were no longer any exploitative classes, and property was entirely public in two forms: state and collective farm cooperative!
Therefore, by that time, no one even thought that the restoration of feudal capitalism was possible! But it happened through the efforts of Western imperialism by bribing the top echelons of the Soviet government. The communists and the Soviets are to blame for allowing traitors to come to power! This betrayal could have been prevented! If the Soviets and communes had been truly popular, as our Venezuelan comrades are striving for, they would have been right. Commune or nothing.
Despite the restoration of bourgeois power, in some countries the future of humanity lies only with socialism and Soviet power. Communes will return to many countries, such as Venezuela, and then to the entire planet! There is simply no other way! By the way, about the deputy corps in the Soviet Union! There were completely different principles for their election! Only the best of the best labor collectives could nominate candidates for deputies, and in recent years, the Communist Party! It was simply impossible for criminals, people without diplomas, or random people to get into the deputy corps! The entire election campaign was financed by the state itself! The principle of work was session-based! Deputies worked at their jobs! They only gathered for sessions! Only committees worked on a permanent basis! No salaries, benefits, or personal cars! Under the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie, only bourgeoisie of various calibers will get into the deputy corps, because there is always a struggle for money, influence, monopolies, registration only through money, and in general, an election campaign is an expensive phenomenon and it is simply beyond the means of the working class and the working peasantry! Hence the content of the laws that will be passed by bourgeois parliaments! Soviet power gives the working masses a place in parliament! Hence, the content of the laws passed will be qualitatively different!
